<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Montessori Pedagogy:</b>
Pre-school at Viveka School of Excellence follows Montessori Pedagogy. Classroom environment plays a major role in Montessori system of education and teacher would perform the role of a facilitator. Freedom of choice is left for students.</p>
	
	
<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Classroom Agreements:</b>
In order to ensure effective and peaceful learning in classrooms the entire school has the concept of classroom agreements named ‘PEARL’. It stands for Participate/Pass, Enthusiastic, Appreciate, Respect and Listen. Both students and teachers are expected to abide by these agreements.	
</p>
	
	
<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>An Open Library:</b>
The resources in library are accessible to students, teachers, parents and also the community. The school intends to reach out to the community at large and believes educating society would positively complement the students’ learning and able learning environment would be created.

<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Birthday Book:</b>
Students and teachers at the school would contribute a book to the library on their birthdays. This would help students to go to a book stall in the first place and get exposed to the wide variety of books available. We hope this would motivate students to make reading a habit and secondly, this gesture would nurture the spirit of giving.
</p>	
	
	
<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Student Mart:</b>	
The student mart is a place where the educative and stationary materials are bought and sold for students and teachers. This is completely student managed concept. The school would invest on buying things that students think are necessary for the school environment. Students thereafter are made responsible for selling things and maintain records. Whatever profit that the mart gets would be deposited to the school’s student welfare fund.
</p>
	
	
<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Alumni Association:</b>
The school has a strong alumni participation in the school activities thanks to the space provided for them in the school activities. The school so far has 4 batches of students passed out of class 10. Every year we celebrate the Alumni Day in the month of December. This is an attempt to keep in track with our students’ progress in their higher education. Alumni teachers too participate in large number. Career Counseling Sessions, motivating speeches are the part of the Alumni Meet. In the longer run we visualize our alumni playing a major role contributing to the school ad also in running the school.

<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Capacity Development Initiatives:</b>
Due focus is given to the personal and professional growth of students as well as teachers. As part of this initiative the school conducts various sessions on content development, personality development and system orientation. Expert talks, field trips, workshops, educational excursions, yearlong house events, yoga sessions and spiritual retreat sessions, interschool competitions, sky watch sessions, students’ council and students’ participation in the community radio are also provided for.

<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Resource Room:</b> 
In a major attempt to make the school environment more inclusive a resource room has been set up. Resource room is a centre where the resources are pooled in so that students with learning challenges could be helped to improve their cognitive skills, hand eye coordination and other learning disabilities. Two teachers with assistance from a clinical psychologist are helping the students to bridge the differences.

<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Science Exploratory Park:</b>
The Science Exploratory Park is a unique of its kind constructed with assistance from Karnataka Science and Technology Academy, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Karnataka in the school premises. It includes 65 different experiments related to physics particularly of high school topics. All experiments are playful in nature. This park caters to the needs of all schools in H D Kote Taluk and even beyond.

<p style="font-size:18px; text-align: justify;">
<b>Community Participation:</b> 
Parents’ participation in the school activities is very essential to take learning in the school to a logical end. A parent taking the ownership in school activities determines to a large extent how connected the school’s philosophy is with that of parents. Parents are part of every celebration that the school conducts. Institution management committee, anti sexual harassment committee, students’ admission committee, and discipline committee all include representatives from parent community. Parents are often called as resource persons to add to classroom learning. Financial contribution from parents is also worth mentioning.
</p>

<b>Co-curricular Clubs:</b>
In a view to make space for all round development of children ample opportunities are provided for various clubs that train children in classical dance, karate, skating and cricket.

<b>Collaboration with other agencies:</b> 
Along with our major partners namely students, teachers, management, parents and community we also work closely with AIISH (All India Institute of Speech and Hearing), SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) and Attakkalari Centre for Movement of Arts , Bengaluru.

<b>Library:</b>
To foster an interest in its students for the acquisition of a wide sphere of knowledge the school has extensive facilities. It is interested in the multidimensional growth of a child. To develop reading habits and love for books at a tender age special care is taken and students from class I have access to the library.<br/>
VSOE has a full-fledged library that caters to learners of all levels. The library provides space for reading in particular. Students have the provision of borrowing books from the library for stipulated time. 
The very novel concept of “Classroom Library” has also been introduced from last 2 years. The Class room library provided for each classroom. This allows teachers to keep the related materials of their subject right in the classroom. It also ensures easy accessibility of books and other materials for the children. They can make use of these books during their leisure.</p>

<b>Science Laboratory:</b><br />
Spacious and well equipped science laboratories provide opportunities for hands on experience which enables the students to experiment and learn.

<b>Math Laboratory:</b><br />
The concept of math lab in the CBSE curriculum makes learning mathematics more interesting and enjoyable.

<p style="font-size:18px;"><b>Computer Laboratory: </b><br />The School Computer laboratory is well equipped with 35computers and internet facility and managed by qualified and efficient computer instructors</p>



<p style="font-size:18px;"><b>Co-Scholastic:</b>As part of the academic/curricular activities children will be taken to various field trips and an education trip every year. The teaching learning strategies in the school include students performing seminars, power point presentations, group discussions, debates, quizzes, elocutions, surveys, role plays and so on.Co-curricular activities include house-wise competitions, inter-school and inter-zonal competitions. Children will get greater exposure. </p>


<p style="font-size:18px;">A Spacious and a well- ventilated room. This activity hall is a centre for all the co- curricular activities of the school. It is multipurpose in utility.Apart from teaching and learning the school's objectives aim at overall development of the pupil through co-curricular activities.</p>
