The school functions from the Pre-School to X Standard.Pick-up arrangements are made by the school to transport students from various scheduled points.The school is dedicated to prepare students to be conscientious and responsible citizens with a sense of integrity and honesty who will be imbibed with a spirit of adventure, exploration, research and creativity. The school believes in fostering each individual potential and therefore, provides varied opportunities for successful living and growth.A child centered education with the concept of all round development of the individual child is the foremost objectives of the school.The School follows the CBSE syllabus.School provides for the study of the following subjects.English, Hindi, Kannada, Mathematics, General Science, Social Science, Moral Education, Computers, G.K., Art and Craft and Physical Education also form an important part of co-curricular activities of the school.</p>
<p style="font-size:18px;"><b>1. Syllabus and Medium: </b><br />
Viveka School of Excellence is a co-educational institution and the medium of instruction is English. Kannada being the regional language is given importance in the school.</p>

The school is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India, Delhi</p>

<b>3. Subject Specific Classrooms (SSC):</b><br />
Innovation is the order of the day. Blending quality with innovation is a thing to cheer about. VSOE is second to none when it comes to accepting new and novel ideas.
The concept of Subject Specific Classroom is a one such novel idea that fits perfectly with the idea of child centered education. SSC allows children and teachers to design the
classroom as per the subjects’ needs. It helps in creating subject specific environment thereby ensuring the efficiency in the classroom activities.

<b>4. Teachers’ Training Programs:</b><br />
Teachers of modern days have to deal with very diversified and heterogeneous group of students. It is rather a great challenge to have an all important inclusive education. Adding to this there are several changes being introduced in today’s school curriculum. VSOE has provided enough space for the teachers to grow professionally. Several workshops are regularly conducted to help teachers to deal with all these challenges. The workshops also aim at personality development.

<b>5. Teachers’ Exchange Program:</b><br />
It is an innovative initiative of the two volunteers from the USA in Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Saragur. Each year a group of 3 teachers from SVYM and the Discovery Charter School, San Jose, California visits one another during their term holidays. During their stay they learn about effective child centred approaches and exchange them to improve the teaching learning process in their home schools. During their stay they also learn about the culture of the visiting nation.
The program enables teachers to appreciate child centred methodologies and work in order to effectively implement child centred education in the school. Its main purpose is to allow teachers to encounter child centred methodologies at work and how it looks like in a class room setting. It also aimed at giving teachers an opportunity to appreciate the culture of another country.
