Our school children take part in different competitions even outside the school such as Science Model Making, quiz Competition and other competitions organized in different schools. To improve student’s physical fitness our school gives ample opportunities to participate in Cluster level CBSE sports meets and Mysuru Sahodaya school complex events like Throw ball, Volleyball, Kabaddi and athletics. To nurture our young minds we conduct several literary activities and house events such as Quiz, Essay writing, Debate, Song competitions etc... To extend students learning, we give more importance for field trips, industrial visits, archaeological museums, dams and silk factory for their experiential learning.
Parents are our most important stakeholders; it is the joint effort of the school and parents that sculpts the child’s progress. To strengthen our community and children, our institution gives more opportunities for the parents to take active participation in different programmes such as a Mobile library, Science Park Visit, Mobile Science Lab, Art of Parenting, Sanskrit Camp, Yoga classes and Orientation about Adolescence Programmes. In addition to that, we also provide more opportunities for the parents to create awareness through the different school activities like Nutrition day and Road Safety Week. To bring out the hidden talents among our parents, the school also motivate parents to involve in our Annual day and Parents Day Celebrations. To gain the most from the community our school also encourages parents to come up in their life through Basic grammar classes in English and also gives opportunities to participate in Taluk level Dasara Padagala Gayana Spardhe and Community Based Learning clubs are the unique features of our school.
Our school allows taking forward learning as a learner-friendly, Joyful & experiential process. We conduct educational tours for students every year to provide them ample opportunity to the learner in understanding about the sites of the cultural, historical, geographical or scientific significance of the places, to promote patriotic feelings & belongingness amongst the learners. It helps the child in understanding, differentiating & appreciating various architectural patterns & features along with the physical wonders. This excursion also helps every individual to familiarize with the culture, food habits, language & climate of various places being visited. These exposure visits provide space for the learners to experience the variations in climate, culture, language, food habits etc. and it allows them to have an insight over the scientific skills, knowledge of our ancestors. These kinds of visit enable our children to understand the diversity and rich heritage of India.
Our Science Exploratory Park started functioning from 2014 which has science concepts related to equipment. Park helps the learner to develop interests in science and technology and also it facilitates the learning of the basic science concepts in a play way manner. At present we have 90 types of equipment. These equipments are designed based on the science concepts present in the elementary, high school and one classroom science curriculum which are arranged theme-wise. Each equipment has questions in bilingual form (Kannada and English) and directs the learning which will be achieved through finding the answer to the given question by hands-on experiment. The science park is being utilized by the students of Mysuru, H D Kote and Saraguru both private and Government school students along with their teachers to experience the Exploratory Park of our school to enrich their knowledge to the maximum extent.

Viveka School of Excellence (VSOE) is a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated school located in Saragur, the administrative centre of SVYM. The school started in 2002 and aims to provide quality, child-centric and inclusive education for the rural children of H D Kote and Saragur taluks at an affordable cost. The school has nearly 580 students from Pre-school Montessori to Class X.
